Can a 3 year old keep a secret? -Guess not!!

So we took little "C" with us to buy a birthday present for her big sister who is turning 8 and we ask her to not tell "A" because it is a surprise. Simple right? Well of course little "C" nods her head and says "Yes Mommy, I won't tell her." So I figure I am all right in trusting her. Sooo- the second that "A" walks through the door coming home from school "C" blurts out- we got you a new purple bike for your birthday! Ahhh rats! Well a lesson learned in who not to bring around while Christmas shopping! Anyway-since she had just found out, we pulled the new bike from it's hiding place and let her ride it. It probably was a good thing too, because today and yesterday has been constant rain.

She had a good bike ride, but is now anxious to ride it again.

"A" got a free bowling game and a free soda from the Bowling alley so we took the whole family to enjoy a game of bowling.

"A" did pretty good, I don't think she really needs bumpers to play anymore.

She wanted a dolphin cake for her birthday. But not just a any dolphin- a dolphin with the sun in the background and jumping out of the water. This is my attempt at granting her wish. I think since you can tell what it is- I've done my job.

Blowing out the candles after making her bithday wish.

An infectious smile years ago- and still an infectious smile today. Love you "A"! Happy birthday.

A few updates

This rose bush in our back yard has been pretty hearty. I don't know anything about how to take care of roses. So I just let this one do it's own thing. I have done absolutely nothing to it but it keeps showing me how beautiful it is.

Maybe I should start learning how to prune it and keep it around. But I might transplant it- I never really enjoyed the location it was growing in.

We were successful in growing our own rabbit food! And in case you wanted to know (because I know you really do) : Rabbit fact- you cannot feed them a whole carrot, gives them an upset stomach.

Here are the girls watching General Conference. They really enjoy the Bingo with using M&M's. And a funny note- "A" asked why that one Apostle (Jeffrey R. Holland) was talking really loudly on his talk. I told her that he was very passionate about his topic and that he is awesome!

What is more fun than a big box for a little girl? I can't think of very many things. We missed our treadmill that gave up it's gusto at the end of last year and have saved up enough to replace it. Now we can shed the extra pounds that we have seemed to gain in it's absense.

The box has been the best part of the whole purchase!

Here the girls have made the box into a house. They have played in it all afternoon!
