Fall Time Fun

The kids had fall break last weekend and our preschool group was having a fieldtrip to Watermans Farm Market on Friday. Since the two oldest were out of school, I took them with us. KP didn't come even though he was off work-too much women and children to hang out with! We got to take a hayride to the pumpkin patch and back.

Proof that I was there- Don't you hate it when you are the one taking pictures all the time and you never have any of yourself at any of the places?
Little C has found her perfect pumpkin.
Little B looked long and hard for hers.

Big A had all sorts of helpers to find her one.

They had a dinosaur head that they would feed pumpkins to. It kept the kids pretty entertained. It was a great day to enjoy the fall season.

Preschool Fieldtrip

After our "Body" unit for preschool we went to a place called NIFS (National Institute for Fitness and Sports). The kids had such a good time there. They got to do an obstacle course. Here little C is trying to go over the lily pad thing-a-ma-jigs.

We made a parachute balloon and then sat in it. Little C thought it was pretty cool.

The kids got to ride on scooters like the big kids in school.

Luckily for me, a friend of mine had her camera with her and took some amazing shots of how happy "C" was throughout the whole experience.

Little C concentrating as she goes through the tunnel.

Alleyoop over the hurdles!
It's so fun to watch your kid be a kid.

Preschool: Sense of sight with the letter G

I love our preschool group and all the moms that are in it too! The last unit we taught was on the five senses. I taught the sense of sight. I had this idea of making "Eye Spy" bags for our craft. I had seen them before and thought they were pretty kid likable. Also I have to admit, I had not taken out my sewing machine for awhile and it was feeling neglected, so this was a good excuse to get it out. I had sewed up three sides already, but I let the kids put in the poly beads and little trinkets to find. Then while they were eating lunch I sewed them all shut. Here I am trying to get that darn thread through the needle.

I am trying to keep the stitching straight even though I know it looks scary in the picture as my fingers are practically next to the needle.

Here is the final project. This is actually my daughters- you can tell by the not so good practice stitching around all of hers. Did I mention before it had been awhile since I had gotten out the sewing machine? At least the others turned out better. I knew my daughter would still play with hers even if it wasn't that pretty.
I also taught the letter "G" the same week which just happened to work out with the whole "glasses" idea. Here is "C" doing her craft of Glueing Googly eyes on Glasses to make them look Goofy. To much emphasis on the letter "G"?

Here is the Group wearing their Goofy Googly eye Glasses. Love IT!

Birthday Wishes

"A" wanted to get her ears pierced for her birthday this year. She was really excited about the idea until she had to sit in the seat and pick out earrings. You could just see nervousness set in. The first ear was alright- she didn't really know what to expect.

Then the next ear she knew what to expect so the worry was written all over her face.

But after it was all done and the "sting" had subsided, she was happy with the result.

The family took her out to the Cheese Cake Factory.

She was pleased with the cheese cake for her birthday cake.
