Dryer Mystery

So a few days after we got here our dryer wasn't working right. Everything was working and functioning fine, but the clothes were not getting dry. So I asked my husband to check it out. Yep, everything was working just fine, but he thought maybe it wasn't venting right.
So, this is what we find. Our vent filled full of lint. I know the picture does not shed the full light of what was found, but, we found the problem, and did the previous owners really not ever clean out there lint trap in their dryer? It took me an hour to clean out all the lint, it just kept coming and coming. So thanks mom for teaching me how to do laundry the correct way so this will never happen again.

Whew! I am done, but my lawn looks like it rained lint. Here is a sampling of what our whole lawn looked like because the wind was blowing and I didn't think to catch it all into something first. Oh well, live and learn. I guess this was our welcoming to home ownership!

A Successful Move!

This is us eating lunch on the first day in our new home. We got to eat on the floor a lot since our stuff didn't arrive until two days later!

On our last day of our long trip to get to Indiana we saw some pretty cool stuff that we've never seen before.

We found some birds out of the lake and we couldn't just pass them by, so we fed them too.

Allison reads to the Principal!

Allison was invited to read to the principal yesterday after mastering her 100 sight words. She got her picture taken with the principal and received a certificate and a huge giant candy bar for her accomplishments. We are so proud of her!
