First Perley Family Reunion

We had our first Perley Family Reunion up at Bear Lake, UT this year. Our family had so much fun. We loved catching up with everyone, and the kids loved playing with their cousins. Here are a ton of pictures to remember the event.

A little game time with Grandma...
A little hot tubbing with cousins.....
A ride on the Bike Train with Family....
Girls loved the cousin time...
A little movie watching too....
Had to stop off at LeBeau's since it was highly recommended.....
Of course for the famous Raspberry shakes....
We chatted around the campfire....
And since we did not have marshmallows to toast, guess what the girls came up?
Yes, they toasted bread, but then moved on to roasting oreos and other various things.
It was fun just hanging out and having dinner together and chatting too..
And we liked to hang out on the balcony as well and enjoy the lake views...
And we did get a little sleeping in as well...
But most of all it was fun to be around my family..
And then there is the beach too...
And they collected small little seashells.
And since we were so close (within a few hours is close to us), we stopped by Temple square.
We went to the top of the Conference Center and it was really windy up there....
And after all that fun, it was time to say goodbye to all our family.. until next time.

The New House

So we have been busy settling into our new house and enjoying the summer. Here are some before pictures of what our house looked like when we moved in. It was a beautiful blank canvas just waiting to be decorated.

These are the realtor pictures, but it gives you a good idea of what it looked like when we moved in. See that unruly bush encroaching on our back patio. That was the first project on our list-to get rid of the ugly overgrown bushy thing.
This is our family room. I have never had hardwood floors, so I was excited. Also, notice we didn't have a single window covering in the ENTIRE house. Yep, that was on our list of things to get right after moving in.
The kitchen- one of my favorite rooms in the house. I can even watch television as I wash the dishes. Who doesn't love that!
A few of the things on our "the house has to have this" list was a separate shower and bath. Plus we love that the toilet isn't facing either of them. Even though we are married, it is nice to have some privacy-am I right?
The other must have item was a double sink for the girls bathroom. If you have girls, you know what I am talking about!
We love our finished basement as well, and it has enough of an unfinished part for our storage/food storage as well.

Also we inherited a koi fish pond in the front of the house. It has been entertaining to watch the fish, and the water plants bloom to life.
We feel very blessed to have a house that we just absolutely love. It helps that I am already a homebody and love to be home anyway. We are still in organization mode- it has taken us longer probably because the girls are home for the summer and they don't want to be home all the time, but we will get there! I'll post after pictures maybe in a few months.
