Valentine's Day

On Valentine's day our primary had an activity. The girls got to play Bingo with a Valentine's theme, play pin the heart on the bear and learn how you can do acts of service for a family member, and when you do-leave a heart behind to show them that you love them. Then they got to decorate pizza boxes and decorate heart shaped cakes to put in the boxes to take home as a Valentine for their family. Here is the decorated box- unforunately we ate the cake before I thought of taking a picture of it. But just imagine a heart shaped cake with lots of frosting and tons of sprinkles on top!

Preschool

I taught preschool on Feb. 3rd. The lesson was on being healthy. The kids learned how to cover their sneezes and coughs to prevent spreading germs. I showed them how germs are easily spread by handing glitter to one child and then having them shake hands with another. They learned if you sneeze into your hand then your germs can get on other things or people if you don't wash your hands. We also learned about brushing our teeth, exercising and eating healthy. We made a smile snack. It was a fun day.

Fun weekend with family

I know I am a little behind on getting things posted. So it is time to catch up on things.

At the end of January I went to visit some family. I left "K" behind with the kids and went by myself which is a rare thing for me indeed. I had a great time.

Here is some of my family and I at my sister's house. I really had fun playing with her kids and catching up with family I hadn't seen for probably a year.

My sister went to Temple square with me and we had a sister missionary take our picture by the Christus. I also got to see the Jospeh Smith movie which I wanted to see since we are studying Doctrine and Covenants this year. While I was having a good and relaxing time, "A" decided to help daddy at home with putting away some dinner. She was on her way to bringing it up stairs so that daddy could put the lid on, and dropped it. This is her splatter masterpiece.
It is amazing how high spaghetti sauce can go. She felt really bad, but "K" cleaned it up and was surprised that it came out of the carpet and didn't stain the linoleum.
