Snow Day!

So the kids have been begging me since 8:00 this morning if they could go out and play in the snow. Around 10:00, I couldn't dissapoint them any longer so here they are!

"C" really wanted to make a snow angel. She layed down and just stayed there. Snow angel?-maybe not , but I see an angel in the snow.

Well, we only lasted for about 10 minutes out there, but enjoyed every minute of it. Now I have to deal with the puddles in our entryway, hmmmm. A downside to playing in the snow?

Does it ever snow lots in Indiana? I guess so!

I was asking a friend just the other day if it really ever snowed lots in Indiana, because it would snow but then be gone in the next day or two. I got to thinking about it because we were laughing at our neighbors one day because they were pulling their kids around in the snow around their yard and there wasn't much on the ground. But I started thinking- Well, maybe this is all they get here in Indiana and you need to make the most of it when it does fall. But, snow has finally come. And there is lots to play in.

This is the girls having fun shoveling snow at the neighbors house the last snow we had.

This is how the snow looked at late afternoon yesterday.

This is what the snow looked like this morning....and it is still falling!

A Brand New Year

Happy New Year! We had a great last year, and we hope this year is just as good!

We started our New Year's Eve festivities with a candle light dinner. The girls really were excited about it. And yes, "K" makes a cheesy smile in every picture, even ones you can't see very well. We let the two oldest stay up this year. At around 10:00 they kept asking "Is it time yet?" half out of excitement and half out of "we want this to be over so we can go to sleep". "B" actually fell asleep about 10 minutes to 12:00-she just barely made it. We woke her up, blew our horns, and did "cheers" with our pop in our fake plastic champagne glasses. And then the girls were happy to go to bed.

This is the project that "K" (mostly him) and I did on New years Eve. We put together a new desk for our office corner so we could get more organized this year. It works out really well.
