An unwanted passenger
"B" had a fieldtrip to the "Outdoor Learning Center" with her Kindergarten class. She told us all about it and how much fun it was. Later "B" came and asked if there was something in her ear. She said it kinda hurt and felt like there was a bump there. So I looked in and "eeeeewwww" there was a tick! "Yuck, get off my girls ear!" Then it dawned on me - I have never dealt with a tick before, and I have seen them in books, but never in real life. So how do I really get this off??? So I did a quick search on the Internet- took the websites advice and got some tweezers and gently pulled it off. Yeah a success! And whew- I got it out! This is one thing I don't want to have to do again-ever!

Preschool Science
Yesterday I had our preschool group at our house do some simple science experiments. I made each of them a tiny volcano out of a baby food jar and playdough surrounding it to look like a mountain. I let the kids choose what color their lava would be. We did some other experiments too and made Ice cream in a bag, but they still liked the volcanoes the best. I think they had me erupt their volcanoes at least three times each. Oh the fun you can have with 3 year olds and some household baking soda and vinegar!
